Motor Section "For Sale Thread"?

I was thinking how come we don't have a for sale and wanted thread for motoring section of the forum? I noticed the motoring community on this forum is quite big for a computing based forum. With people driving all sorts of cars, im sure some of us would like the ability to sell and buy used car parts with the same forum rules as per the for sale section threads?

It's more work for moderators who already have the job of the Members Market - don't forget they don't get paid to do it.

Thats true, i suppose it would take anoter group of decidated people to moderate that section if it came to it. Unless they relaxed the rules abit which they did talk about not so long ago.

The relaxing of the rules pertained to the sale of Mobile Phones I believe.

It has been discussed before several times and ultimately it comes down to:

1.) Moderation overhead
2.) Consequences of problem sales are exacerbated due to the potential significant amounts of money involved
3.) Legal considerations/obligations (implied or otherwise) of OCUK and mods/staff
4.) How much it would be used
5.) How many "hit and run" ads that would get posted
6.) This is a computer forum, not autotrader
7.) Other stuff i've no doubt forgotten

This has been discussed on a couple of occasions ruled out like Gayjin mentioned. I can't see it changing any time soon.

There's no need for it imo, its already pretty obvious when someone from the forum is selling their car and therefore easy to contact them about it.

It'd be a very limited audience outside of regular forum members anyway

I'm afraid it is not something we are likely to consider.
