I just remembered that I don't have any with my new insurance cover so I'm just wondering does anyone have any recommendations for cheap cover?

Cheers.

I bought some cheap personal cover (covers me not the vehicle) with RescueMyCar via a comparison site. Only had to use it once when I was in the car and got 2 punctures on the left side thanks to some **** leaving nails in the road. Called my breakdown company and they had someone with me in half an hour (in London and in rush hour) - I was really quite impressed.

Green Flag are very good. I think I paid £45 for the year for UK & Europe recovery. They will fix the bike by the road side (or try) or deliver it to a garage of my choice. Can't remember if I paid for them taking me to a destination, that might be a bit more.

If you want euro cover, ADAC are probably one of the best - 84 euros or about £62 for single person ADAC plus membership. You have to call them to take out cover, and AFAIK you call the german centre if you break down (english speaking people there) and if you're in the UK they send out the AA. Funnily enough, I believe if you have AA euro cover and break down in germany, they send out ADAC :D

I always assumed I'd do euro trips on my bike eventually but right now my buttocks hurt after an hour on the bike so I can't imagine going on any substantial journey.:(

Anyway I just remembered I had autoaid breakdown insurance for my car, which I had to use the other day when I stupidly allowed my battery to discharge while chatting to a bloke about PCs lol.

I just found out they cover motorcycles over 150cc, I was minutes away from wasting £30 quid too.

I've got free RAC at the moment which came with my bike from Triumph. Green flag are good and cheap. They're all relatively cheap really, especially if your bike is newer than 10 years. Well worth having the cover where they take you and your bike anywhere you want, saves a more expensive recovery and hassle.

I used my free one I got with Carol Nash when my rear brake exploded at 70mph. Did the job ok, no complaints.

I've never had any issue with the RAC. When the Rocket lunched its ignition switch they listened to my advice on the phone that it needed a flatbed and didn't try and send one of those van-mounted bike lifts they sometimes use.
In fact, every time I've had a bike break down they've been great.

The AA however annoyed me on several occasions, causing me to switch to the RAC.
