Hey Guys,

Thinking of getting a Pit Bike or Motorcross bike, just wondering could anyone give me any general alround advice on them?

Thanks,

Matt.

Yeh, I only considered pit bike as my budget isn't massive.

But I've seen a nice 85cc Big Wheel on the Bay.

suzuki ts125 will do great, they're cheap and they're pretty reliable, though, you should get a supermoto instead, they're much more fun on the dirt. *until you powerslide, 540 flip and face plant into the ground*

no but seriously, a 125 can be had for less than 250 quid, so long as you don't mind broken bits.

Just make sure it hasn't been raced for a few years without the rings being changed.

Thanks for the advice guys.

I'm 6ft 2, and I weigh around 81Kg.

I'm 15, and I plan to Ride it on the farm I work at or on the track

I don't know what your budget is, but I'd be looking for a 125cc 'crosser. I like orange bikes personally, so a KTM 125 SX would be at the top of my list. You could also look at the EXC version as they're road legal and you'd be able to ride it on the road when you're old enough, and more importantly and more fun, the network of byways throughout the country.

One thing though, please ride responsibly. Don't trespass or ride on the road without insurance. Always stop to let walkers by and switch off your engine if you meet a horse on a trail.

You're way way way too big for an 85! I'm 5'8ish, and I couldn't give it any gas at all on my ex's 85BW without it wanting to wheelie, it was terrifying :D

If you're careful and spend £800ish on a 125, you could get something perfectly servicable. Imo it's well worth stretching to that much as it'll give you a much better chance at not buying a complete money pit lost cause POS.

Why would he get a supermoto for riding around a farm?

And you physically can't race a 125 MX bike for a couple of years without changing the rings, it would go pop way before that. Like 18 months before, if you were lucky.
