Historic Super Touring Championship at Oulton Park. Great to see these again!

Also worth mentioning the current BTCC cars were doing 1:53's in practice and these cars not driven at 100% (For obvious reasons) were doing 1:46's. Progression hey ;)

The current cars were doing 1.43's at race pace actually, 42's in qually.

Then you are missing out because of nothing. Don't want an asshat Porsche driver up you ass then just let them by. Slower car won't let you by, pull off and take a break.

because one person cant control themselves?

most track days are absolutely fine and attended by courteous driving enthusiasts.

this guy is clearly an utter weapon, but saying you avoid track days because of stuff like this?

its like saying, you dont go out in public in case you get shouted at by chavs

that guy behind gets wayyy too close for comfort sometimes..... had me pressing my imaginary brakes under my desk in those chicanes :p

its like saying, you don't go out in public in case you get shouted at by chavs

lol! on nights out when my mates and I were 14-17 we'd avoid windstreet (street full of pubs in swansea)because of this :p didn't help they all had long hair so guess it's an easy target to try and hassle/start a fight with.... purely...."because" :p

didn't bother us too much as all the music was **** and drinks over priced. we'd just hang out in the rock/metal bars with good music and cheaper drinks :D

i remember pretty much every time we'd have to walk down the kings way (back when it was a two way system with a roundabout at either end so every boy racer and his nan would drive up and down all night long)... all the chavvy boy racers going past shouting

"oh mush, cut ew 'airrrrr... hahahahahha gofffffff" xD ahhh the memories

....and that's why I avoid track days.

Most people are very well behaved. I've only experienced that kind of driving once, and it was from Tom Chilton in his Nissan GTR. Came across as a really nice guy when I spoke to him, but drove like an utter bell end on track.

Any of the track days I've done have always had one or two muppets and it just tees me off. Granted they have been all at Knockhill so that is probably why I'm so biased :D Typical Scottish egos I guess.

I'd rather stick to my sprints and hillclimbs. If I make a mistake it's my fault. I'm not going to crash into someone else and cost them thousands or vice versa.

Crazy how fast it is and to think mine had another 50hp and 130lb/ft over the Nismo!
Not really a road car any more though.

Edit:

Looks like Chris Hoy just stacked the same car at Goodwood!

My GoPro vid from the V8UK Power Tour (1st time it's happened). Really should have got new rear tyres PRIOR to the drag racing as I couldn't get it to launch properly even in 2nd due to the conditions. I went up against the Apple County Racing's "Snow White" at the end, who ran an 11.87 against my 2nd time on the strip (13.37).

Fun times!
