Part 7 of Project Binky is up:

For those who haven't seen this, it's a detailed and humourous account of a couple of engineers who decided to fit a 2.0l turbocharged engine from a Celica GT-4 into an old rusty mini which they'll go rallying in while not altering the appearance of the mini. Of course, this entails a huge amount of rebuilding partly because quite a bit of the mini is rusty and partly because there's not really enough space for the engine, running gear, uprated cooling, impact protection, etc, none of which was designed to fit a mini anyway. There's almost 3 hours of video so far and many gallons of tea.

Brilliant! :D

crashing your car at a big car meet in front of hundreds of people must hurt.

when they all have cameras and the video on facebook has 1,636,944 views in less than 24 hours pretty much guarantees your insurance company sees it.

What a tool!

I love big shouty cars, but the whole point of a big shouty car is that you don't have to be all shouty with it. The car does that for you!

same event...

for reference, the above video took place going into a supermarket petrol station forecourt. I have no idea why anybody would drive like this into this area.
i have been to a few japanese car meets at this exact location and nothing like this has happened.

What would the insurance company actually do though? Driving like an idiot surely isn't a reason for them to not pay out. The police on the other hand could well be a problem....

fair point I suppose. one would assume that given the popularity of these videos that the respective insurers would be doing what they can to minimise their losses.

Numpties. It's a Supermarket next to the 2nd biggest shopping centre in the UK. It's insane to be driving like that when there's that many families with young kids milling around on a weekend. I hope the book gets thrown at them.
