that is some seriously impressive driving considering that he'd just been hit & spun at a fare pace. I'd be inclined to call it luck, but damn thats pretty amazing luck none the less!

I agree. 42 minutes didn't seem a second too long and it gave a different perspective on the project. I hadn't seen the use of a plane to demonstrate the forces on the driver before this video, but it makes perfect sense.

Yes, very clever stuff. Whilst I'd of course realised there would be quite some G forces involved in this it had never occurred to me that they'd be negative Gs during acceleration and positive during deceleration. I'd always thought of it being the other way around.

I find a lot of entertainment in people powering vehicles with engines never intended for them. This is one of the more extreme examples - a Mercedes stretched limo (massively modified, obviously) powered by a military jet engine. Because why not? Bonus style points for the suits.
