That's absolutely ridiculous. I would wager it causes more accidents than it prevents. Camera lens clogged up with flies/dirt/rain, oncoming cars already past visible section of camera, rear facing glare in poor conditions/darkness....
Maybe they should spend their time and money teaching overtaking discipline. Showing a video of vehicles moving from 2 foot off the rear bumper of the truck into an overtaking position is hardly the way to do that. Arguably gain the same needed visibility by being in the right position in the first place. Nothing more than a PR stunt.
