Motors YouTube Videos

On a long haul journey it does make a difference.

I agree that during peak times it should be banned, but if the road is clear, does it matter?

It is videos like that that sometimes I wish the truck were to ram the brake checking moron.

I can understand why someone would get frustrated, and really the truck on the left should lift slightly to allow the pass. Brake checking like that is utterly moronic and deserves a driving ban.

I can understand his frustration - the truck was barely going any faster than the other one at all - but wow that was a ridiculously cretinous manoeuvre!

That person is a moron and deserves to have their licence taken away. He's lucky the truck slowed down, if the driver was a bit malicious he could've killed that idiot.

Anyway, this is proper motorsport, not the pansy safety crap we have today :D

Think this was an article i read a few month back about why truckers overtake on dual carriageways;

http://notesfromthedrivingseat.blogspot.co.uk/2010/09/on-why-lorry-drivers-overtake-each.html

Explains a lot!

I expected that was the reason but if time pressures and the like are so tight that mean such maneouvrers are necessary then the solution as I see it is a) ban lorries overtaking each other on dual carriageways (except for situations he mentions like exceptionally slow vehicles in the way), b) give a uniform max speed across all firms/trucks etc.

In the same vein as his example of 5 minutes being the difference between a 45 min stop or not, the 3 or 4 trucks I encountered overtaking each other on the A roads between North and South Wales at the weekend meant I had a tractor pull out a mere few seconds in front of me that I (and about 60 other cars) was stuck behind at ~30mph for the best part of half an hour and would otherwise have been avoided.

I love French, I always wanted to learn it... but since day 1 they always put me in German classes either due to no spaces left or saying that its easier. I hated it with a passion... Maybe one day I'll have a chance to learn French! :D
