I am not a lorry driver... but why do trucks have to take five miles to pass each other.
It doesn’t look much fun & causes frustration behind you.
I’m aware that you like to keep your speed up, that’s obvious.
    But.... 56mph v 56mph, just no contest.

I appreciate that they have strict driving laws & timetables to keep to, but
it just baffles me... & it seems to be getting worse.
    Is it a boredom breaker.

@Milkyway - To save you trawling the last thread, this is my perspective, I’ve been an HGV driver for the last 23 or so years.

Can’t really argue with that... I appreciate your honesty.

NB: It’s not just trucks... plenty of vans & cars are also guilty, but usually there is enough in reserve to give it a little ‘squirt’ to get by.

I personally find most lorry drivers to be good and conscientious drivers, you're always going to find exceptions but I have a lot of time for them when driving. If you take into account the service they are actually performing then this brings things to the fore. The important thing is respect them and they will respect you.

More annoying for me personally are van drivers and Prius drivers who always seem to have a chip on their shoulders?
