Moving from 5.1 speakers to soundbar?

I'm downsizing my place so don't have any space for rear speakers. I was thinking about replacing them with something like a Sonos Beam + mini-sub as it's a small bedroom (2mx2m).

But I don't want to downgrade my cinema experience as I've heard mixed thins about soundbars. Maybe I could put the rear speakers on the wall but they would line up with my ears rather then be behind me.

How big are your speakers? Maybe keep the system just change parts. In that room size something like Keg Eggs would be plenty, or maybe go for slim on wall speakers. And a small sub like BK Gemini

That's not a bedroom that's a closet :-/
