I've had a 7700K drop into my hands so I think now might be a good time to make the upgrade from my AMD 8320 (4.5ghz)

I've been out of the game for quite a while when it comes to motherboards and I've never really been in the game when it comes to Intel motherboards.

Obviously the cheaper is the better but I do have a budget of around £150.

I'm looking to keep this build for 3+ years, so think I should be looking for a MoBo with PCIe M.2 and USB 3.1 (A and C)

Also the main use will be gaming, so getting the 7700K up to a good clock is a main goal.
No need for SLI or Crossfire.

Not ITX and no need for good audio as I'll be using my current sound card.

Going to be using a Noctua NHD14s to cool it.

Thanks

Everything at £150 and under seems to offer all the same things

Anything I should look out for?

Definitely want a M.2 PCIe slot, as I play to keep this mobo for a few generations.

Under the hot sun.
I've heard there are some issues if I'm wanting to run Windows 7 on a 7700k and Z270 chipset. Is this true?

Microsoft doesn't support Kabylake or Ryzen CPUs on Windows earlier than 10.
Not even the antivirus software updates it's self, let alone all other items that need patching for security and improvements.

TBH W10 is not that bad, if you spend an hour or so, to remove telemetry, services and software that you won't need. In addition to mandatory tweaking to work as good as the W7.
