Hello

I was just curious to see what people commonly do when they move home with insurance. You can either take a new policy out from exchange, or 'port' your existing policy (so I gather). Is either of these routes the 'no brainer' option, from our collective experience?

Cheers!

Depends on how much term you have left. But if going bigger its often better to start afresh.

Phone existing company and get them to price the move. If the amount is significant price up a new policy. Also consider whether you will have any overlap.

Thanks both - called up first thing this morning and was told I'd get a 75p refund :p

Seemed straightforward enough so I think I'll just be doing that this time around.
