I believe the auto top just refers to credit, which is only used for calls not covered by your goody bag e.g. calls abroad, when you run out of goody bag minutes, and maybe certain national "08##" numbers (not sure of the last one).

It's always useful to have credit. I still have some from my referral, but I don't think I'll bother setting up the auto top up feature because I rarely make calls not covered by the goody bag.

So yes, goody bags run out after a month unless (as of today) you set them to recur. I've literally just done it this minute and all seems well. Now mine recurs on the 21st of each month. So (hopefully) it should work just like a rolling monthly SIM only type contract

OK so I'll buy £10 credit and the a £20 goody bag and set that good bag to recur in that case...

Once again problems with GiffGaff... Bought a goodybag this morning and it's processing but hasn't gone through.. Same problem for many others on the forum. I forgot my goodybag ran out last night, didn't have the usual text messages and emails reminding me.

now that they have set up recurring goodybags you can no longer queue a goodybag with airtime credit, which is bloody annoying
