Ok so currently i have Vista x64 installed on my 80GB IDE Maxtor hard drive. I also have a 250Gb Western Digital SATAII hard drive that i want to move the Vista install over to because it should in theory speed up my computer (right?), because my PC tends to take ages to be fully usable when booted up. Meaning, when i turn my PC on and it gets into Vista and i click on Firefox, it takes ages for the initial load.
Right, so after reading various threads, i came across the cloning software, Acronis Migrate Easy. The problem is, I have games installed on my 250Gb Hard drive that i want to move the Vista install over to. Acronis tells me that i can't do this as it needs an empty hard drive to move the install over too.
So my question is, can i move the Vista install from my old IDE hard drive to my Sata hard drive without losing the games on it?
