MPH Show/Top Gear Live...

Im not going anywhere, just keep seeing it advertised on TV and it strikes me as something thats either going to be a blast, or one of those over hyped tacky things that turn out to be totally rubbish.

Havent looked at tickets, are they expensive?

Well I can't speak for the London show, but at Birmingham they have the Classic Car Show - which is about 3 times the size of the MPH Show itself!

We're going for 2 days this year - one day specifically for the Classic Show as last year we missed most of it due to spending so long in the MPH section :(

I'm not sure about tickets as a mate ordered them this year, but I know we have Silver tickets and we bought them on a 3 for 2 offer a while back so it was fairly cheap for us.

I went a couple of years back, I think I had a coupon of some sort, as I just looked at the price and it's £42, which I think is a complete rip off for around 1 hours entertainment, and it's not even that good!

I think I will leave it.

Its £42 for TG Live and the MPH Show. The MPH show on its own is £25...

The MPH stands part itself wasn't much kop last year compared the the Classic Car part- but still pretty cool, the actual live show was great though :)
Hopefully Autoglym won't put a car on their show & shine stand which has swirl marks all over it this year :o

I enjoyed it when i went last year, I was going to go again this year but forgot all about it :(.

The show itself isn't as good as the show on TV IMO. Its far more scripted than the TV show and isn't really that funny TBH. The car stunts are really good though and all in all its a good experience. You will be deaf upon leaving the show though and be missing your eyebrows if you are anywhere near the front row :D.

The thing i enjoyed the most is looking at all the nice cars. There are 4 massive halls filled with loads of different cars. I think there will be a Veyron there this year, thats a car I'd like to see in the flesh.

Wow, it's gone up in price since I last went. I'd much rather go to the motorshow though, better value for money and more interesting. MPH itself was good, lots of nice cars (not enough classics though!) but not an awful lot to do unless you do the show as well. The show was amusing and a great bit of entertainment, but having seen it before, and since I'm growing ever more tired of top gear I don't think I'll be doing it again at that price.

Just seen it today.

MPH was good, if a bit "meh". Top Gear Live was absolutely brilliant though, really superb stuff.

Ill agree to that, i went and thought it was fantastic, we had a 4* hotel too which made it even better, really enjoyable weekend.

The TG crew were there usual idiot selves and clarkson was as per normal hilarious, especially when he entered the crowd, the cars were phenomenal.

I have plenty of pics + vids which ill upload in a thread at some point.
