That is some nice FSB. Is it all the 780 that can do that or just the MSI or maybe just the cherry picked ones?

I would like to know as I got a Asus Striker II due lol.

I would be both shocked and really angry if it can only do approx 475FSB like most Striker Extremes.

The MSI even managed to keep the ESATA as of their cooling solution.

I just seen a review of the MSI X48 and its got a high FSB but not as high as above. ;)

The Asus ones do not use Fans, only if you WC you pop on Addition Fan on the Mosfets not Chipsets.

I have not seen any 780 reviews going anywhere near that FSB cause they run Quads and seem to be going for MHZ and normally the FSB is about 1600, but some go 1800.

The MSI review is the only one I have seen with a peep going for MAX FSB, and thats even higher than the MSI X48.

Now I did think, the peep works for MSI so he got a Golden Sample Mobo, but the other link proves another Mobo which got a tad higher FSB.

Active Chipset cooling is old school, it was done away with on most NF2's just these 680/780's seem to run hot.

there is no fan in the northbridge, it's the standard "circupipe" style design that they have been using on the P35/X38...

If your the Mobo expert here can you answer this ?.

On Asus site in Bios Section this has appeared. " Asus Striker II Extreme ", now it has only 1 Beta Bios, so is that the early name and now its a " Asus Striker II Formula " or is Asus bringing out another Mobo.

I need know cause I have the Formula on order and the MSI actually has better spec inc ESATA and that high FSB which I aint sure the Asus will do until someone actually tries it on a Dual.

Have you ran a Asus 780 (the other model) in the Store with a Dual Core and high FSB ?, Im on the brink of canceling my CPU/Mobo order, the Mobo keeps getting delayed (everywhere not saying OCUK).

Not really, try getting over 500FSB on a 680 (very rare) and by time good Quads come I want, I wont be on a DDR2 Mobo.

The answers to above are the deciding factor on me canceling order and getting refunded.

I said it was rare not impossible, and thats to get 500FSB or more out any 680i even on a Dual, they are buggy crap.

I hate my Striker Extreme.

Yours seems a 650, may run cooler.

That MSI is temping hmm, going to grab its manual see if its got Anti VDrop/VDroop circuit same as the Striker II.

500x8 on an E6600 on a 680i. Wouldn't clock my quad past 375 tho:(. Shame as I really liked the 680i. Reviews for 780i and Q6600 seem to be thin on the ground so its hard to see if the 680i problems have been ironed out. There are plenty with the 6950 tho.

Ive been all over WWW and on EVGA forums, not many peeps on Dual or Quads seem to be trying to MAX the FSB on their new 780's.

The 2 Reviews above for the MSI are the best I have seen, I dont think it will clock a Quad to same FSB but at 580+, it should get at least 500FSB.

I know peeps have bought the other Asus 780, so not sure why no posts about clocking the FSB, it wont matter if they got crap Memory, simply dont clock it.
