MSI P55-GD80 Intel P55 or MSI P55-GD65 Intel P55

is the GD80 really worth the extra £40? if so why? i not planning on running crossfire, more hassle than its worth.

will be overclocking, but not to extreme levels.

Save your money.
Most i think are getting same overclock results on the GD65 as GD80.
But my GD80 looks good

But wait for more peeps to give there views as well.
I have the ripjaw c7 stuff runs at 1600 with i750@4gh

yeah was looking at the ripjaw, doesnt seem to be much in it from what i have read.

the Asus P7P55D Pro is looking a possible now as well.

Only got the GD80 it was on promo

The GD65 has crossfire anyways. I would say get the GD65

i have been convinced to go mid range mobo, either the gd65 or the Asus P7P55D Pro.

might flip a coin later unless someone convinces me either way.

for overclocking GD80 is the best there is at the moment. The GD65 stick OC's well but doesn't hold the world record.

For performance the GD65 blows the P7P55D out of the water... check some benches here:

And me. According to the mods the Asus is the best mobo for the money, the MSI has only been taken up so much because of the promo.

EDIT: That said Coalfield makes a convincing case for the MSI...not so sure now!

Also worth remembering its only worth doing such a promo if the product is an outstanding product
