I see there are a few of these in b-grade at the moment, a bit too many for me to start thinking there may well be a few problems with them.

Does anyone know if they had stability problems that have since been rectified with bios updates? At half price its certainly tempting to give it a whirl.

MSI = Made by Sodding Idiots. Support is atrocious, BIOS generally under-par, and I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole ever again. Once burnt, twice shy.

Be safe and go with ASUS/Gigabyte/DFI.

I would do normally Rich, but the price is so tempting, £82 for a x48 board, almost seems worth a gamble :P

Hehehe can't hurt to try I guess... and hey at least it'll give you something to do I guess if the weekend hasn't got anything exciting planned. Just don't complain when you inexplicably start losing hair. :D

Under the DSR you have 2 weeks to send it back too.

One week from date of purchase isn't it?

An official 7.1 bios came out in June, but I believe it was about setting up 9450 processors up correctly. There is a beta 7.2 bios available on the MSI support forums, which I flashed today, which adds a power user memory section and hopefully also sorts out the overclocking bug...

Despite thinking I could safely overclock the FSB to 400 on my 9300, it turns out that the FSB was hard-locked to 333 according to CPUID (unless the multiplier was lowered to 6, used in "speedstep" mode)!

Here is where I discovered that others were having overclocking troubles and then grabbed the USB flash tool and the beta bios (need to register for downloads):-
