Msn messenger/hotmail wont sign in weirdness!

A friend of mine has just got connected to talktalk and for some strange reason i cant sign into msn messenger or into hotmail webmail.

When you try to sign into hotmail you get to the part where it trys to send your password via ssl (the little lock come up) and goes no further.

Same with msn messenger, you try and sign in and it just times out with an error number.

This is with the Echolife router talktalk sent.

But if i try my speedtouch 780 router it all works completely fine. I have tryed turning off all the firewall in the echolife router and Upnp is enabled but it really has stuntted me this one!

Any ideas why its being a bugger?

Could it be that SSL is blocked or something like that...?

what is the error number that pops up when trying to sign in on msn msger?

Fixed it,

would seem that talktalk use a different MTU setting to the default that comes with there box.

Changed the MTU to 1432 (talktalk standard) and all was fixed. Took me a couple of hours to figure it out and seems super daft that talktalk dont put the right setting into the who stuff as 95% of people would never have fixed it
