After a little bit of information regarding insurance, I have 2 cars, one insured by me and the other off the road at the moment. What id like to do is insure them both with a multi car policy and have my grand daughter as a named driver for atleast one of them ( both small 1.1L cars) but this seems to be a bit of an issure due to her age, they will put her on my insurance but for only one vehiche. Am i allowed to insure one car with one policy from company A and insure the other car with her as a named driver with companyB?
I understand multiple policy's on a single car from multiple companys is illeagal but what about me insuring 2 cars with 2 companys?

Thanks for any help provided!

If you have two cars, you can do what you like as long as you pay for appropriate insurance one way or another :)

My MX5 is insured with my Honda on an Admiral multicar policy but when that reaches the end I'll probably look at insuring the MX5 elsewhere if the price is right.

You can have as many policies as you like on as many cars you like, as long as the policies do not have conflict of interest

Each policy will also need its own 'set' of NCB too...

Typically, if you have e.g. 6 years NCB on car a, then when you start the policy on car b it will have 0 NCB.

Sorry for being dumb, not very business minded, what would cause a conflict of interest with regard to insurance?

A Plan can do this. They did it for me, as I wanted the other half on one car but she would've made the insurance astronomical on the weekend car.
