Shows just how vulnerable we all are on a UK train, with no security checks before getting on. Scary stuff, thankfully no fatalities reported yet that I'm aware of.

Not sure whether this was the actual reality or whether it was the movie version of how it it worked but it could have created enough of a diversion, perhaps, for things to have unfolded differently.

I had thought this only alerted the driver / guard (previously) to an incident and would therefore travel to the next station, otherwise you'd be stuck in the middle of nowhere with an ongoing incident.
