Murdoch - unfit to have any role in the UK media

  • none of you Fox Fanboyz have ever been subject to a diet of Fox Lies
I can guarantee you I've watched more of Fox News Channel's output than you have.

  • you actually agree with its style and extreme right-wing bias
Fox News Channel may have a slight right-wing bias in its news reporting, but as opposed to the extreme left-wing bias of other news channels in the States (MSNBC, CNN, etc.) it is relatively fair and balanced, as the tagline goes.

Please read the findings of a study conducted by the nonpartisan, nonprofit Center for Media and Public Affairs on 2007 presidential election coverage, "Election Study Finds Media Hit Hillary Hardest: Obama, Huckabee Fare Best; FOX Is Most Balanced (not a typo):

Fox News Channel’s coverage was more balanced toward both parties than the broadcast networks were. On FOX, evaluations of all Democratic candidates combined were split almost evenly – 51% positive vs. 49% negative, as were all evaluations of GOP candidates – 49% positive vs. 51% negative, producing a perfectly balanced 50-50 split for all candidates of both parties.

On the three broadcast networks, opinion on Democratic candidates split 47% positive vs. 53% negative, while evaluations of Republicans were more negative – 40% positive vs. 60% negative. For both parties combined, network evaluations were almost 3 to 2 negative in tone, i.e. 41% positive vs. 59% negative.

As someone who actually watches Fox News Channel, as opposed to you who only watch the short clips cherry-picked and posted online by those on the extreme-left designed to damage the channel's reputation, I couldn't agree more.

Then again I bet you don't even understand the distinction between news reporting and editorial coverage and think The O'Reilly Factor comes under the former.

We need a fox news in this country - only having left leaning news outlets isn't healthy.

Imagine this forum with only Stockhausen and no Dolph? ;)

IT would be like the Blair years in year, with Scorza(Brown) defending him and agreeing with the ultra lefty views.

As for Murdoch, meh, insanely successful dude, a bit power mad, aren't most people?

I love people who have a go at his "tax" dodging, why not look up the taxation rules, especially of the UK, who will want half of everything he makes here and half of everything he makes anywhere else in the world, sure, thats really "fair" taxation.

I love how ultra lefty call it tax dodging, when 99% of "tax dodging" is simply paying the minimum amount you LEGALLY HAVE TO, while fighting to the bone over every last penny the UK try to tax every penny you've made anywhere but the UK.

Who was it, Usian Bolt who wouldn't run in one of the competitions because we would tax the living hell out of him.

Its along the lines of run 1 in 10 races in the uk, pay 1 in 10th of your wages in tax here, on top of, if you sign a advertising contract for 10mil in the USA from a US company, while in the US, the uk will still try to get 1/10th of it because the success/racing in the uk is part of the reason the sponsorship would be as big as it is, madness. The even worse madness is if he doesn't compete less people go to the event, which means even more lost money.

Murdoch is probably paying extortionate rates of tax to the UK and the US and a whole bunch of other countries, its entirely within his right, and infact YOU would also set up your companies to pay as little tax as possible.

It always irks me how the ultra lefties insist rich people shouldn't minimise their tax burden in any way, its all cheating the system, when they still end up paying 50% on the VAST MAJORITY of what they earn, you're talking about maybe saving a few percent, and Murdoch will be paying billions in tax into the UK economy.

just watch it as if it was brass eye, then it's brilliant.

Glenn Beck does a fake tear in his eye while seeming completely sincere that would have Chris Morris positively proud of the guy.

Fox News editorial stuff, Beck, Reilly, is hilarious, more hilarious because for the most part most guys are fairly "real" but theres (almost) no doubt both guys play up to the camera's incredibly badly. Those shows are entertainment, nothing more or less, now you could question if they should be on a channel called "news" thats a fair argument to bring around, but to pretend those shows are their most serious shows is laughable.

Unfortunately any point he may have is lost in his Daily Mail like distortion of the facts. Much like any point you were trying to make in the above post failed because of the oh so hilarious changing of Murdoch's surname. :D

I genuinely hope you are wrong there, because my points are mucho legitimato (or something).

Since you brought it up I feel a little guilty about the surname thing, but its hard to think of RM (not RDM :D) and not have an insult automatically spring to forefront of mind.

So what about Andy Grey? As much as it brings sweet tears of joy to see him being dumped off air the real reasons as to why he was stinks of somebody who wishes to think he's untouchable.
Apparantly he was rude to the production crew who then conspired to get him and his partner in crime fired. I'd believe it given the repeated 'leaks' occuring in quick succession once it became clear Grey was only going to be warned initially.

Who mentioned Andy Grey prior to this though?

Nobody.

The rumour I heard was the more commonly known one: the 'sexism' was simply exposed because of his court case with the NOTW - another Murdoch publication.
