noisettes were disappointing....she really cant sing.

Have to agree - pretty appropriate band name.
Really got on my nerves - had to drink more to compensate.
Didn't help that she kept saying 'the fog on the tyne is all mine'

I can't believe people keep whinging that the Noisettes were crap. Considering most songs didn't even have a bass they made an amazing racket. Her voice fitted that style of music perfectly. Did I like their music? Not really, reminded me of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, not my cup of tea.

But were they actually crap? Far, far, far from it.

If you thought they were crap you need to go and see more support bands, seriously.

Noisettes were fun tonight :) To me it sounded like the white stripes with gwen stefani singing. The 'scene' 14-year-olds said "omg thats like the worst band ever" but then they would.

Muse, of course, fantastic. I stared at disbelief at the aformentioned 14 year olds that didn't know Muscle Museum, or, gasp, Plug in Baby

Had more fun at Glasto if I'm honest though, and I felt the same at Reading this year. Don't think I'll ever top that gig.

Right, just got back, never seen Muse before and they were epic... It was pretty damn good. What a great show, in every way!

As for the Noisettes- I thought that they're a good band, and the singer has a great voice (anyone who thinks she can't sing is way off), and a lot of her 'actions' seem very much like Karen O's, but I suppose everyone takes inspiration from someone. I didn't think that they were the right support for an arena tour, they really don't have the songs for venues of this size, somewhere smaller and they would have made a better impression I think. And their first song, is it just me or did the main riff sound just like the Deal Or No Deal theme tune... :o

Anyway, Muse were amazing, and Matt Bellamy is truly an ARTIST with his guitar. Not bad on the piano either!

A very good night.

I was at Muse too last night, should have organised some beers or something. Damned cool gig, I loved the visuals, and the set list was sweet. The only song I wish they would play is sunburn, but I can't complain considering they played Muscle Museum.

The Noisettes got better towards the end of their set, I might go and get their single as I thought their last 2 songs were decent. Sounded like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and a bit of skunk anansie.

Overall a damned sweet gig, although I think they could have pumped the sound up a tad, they've been much louder the last few times that I've seen them.

Just an update:

Muse are expected to announce on Monday that they will be the first band to play the new Wembley Stadium

I saw that! Big news indeed, hopefully they will get some other decent bands to play with them like the Foos did at Hyde Park. I'd cry if it was some emo ***** like MCR that they keep getting lumped in with.

MUSE to rock Wembley Stadium

Britain’s most ambitious and prolific live act MUSE are the first group to officially announce a show at the new Wembley Stadium for Summer 2007. This concert will be staged on 16 June 2007 and will see yet another landmark spectacle from a band who, throughout the 21st century have become a byword for stunning live performances.

MUSE

The band are one of the most celebrated live acts of recent years with their headline shows at Glastonbury in 2004 and The Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals in 2006 acclaimed across the media as the epitome of an exhilarating rock show. With a musical ambition that has seen the band receive a lorry load of awards as well as two # 1 albums since their debut album, “Showbiz”, in 1999, this concert is sure to join those, and their recent Wembley Arena dates in the pantheon of rock’s greatest moments.

Wembley Stadium's Chief Executive, Michael Cunnah, said: "Wembley Stadium is a world-class music and sporting venue and we are thrilled that top British rock band Muse is going to be one of the first music acts to play here next June. The stadium is looking magnificent and with good progress being made on site we are aiming to open as early as possible in 2007. We are currently in discussions with a number of event owners and promoters and the interest in the new Stadium as London's newest and greatest venue is fantastic. There are likely to be further events announced over the next few months."

Muse have had a phenomenal year following the release of their fourth album, Black Holes And Revelations, a top ten hit across Europe and the USA. The release confirmed their position as one of the UK’s foremost bands with total record sales of over 7 million throughout their four album career. Each release has surpassed the last and Muse are one of a select handful of UK acts that are as big internationally as they are in their home country.
