Hi all.

My Dad has an HTC Hero. He wants music on it. What's the best way of doing that? My initial thought was to just use Google Play Music.. but that is not compatible with his phone (Gingerbread). He doesn't want the faff (and I don't want the support) of ripping and copying his CDs over and is happy to buy the music he wants.

Amazon MP3 store, Spotify.. what else is there, pros and cons of each? I don't really listen to much music on mine beyond TuneIn Radio, and my only experience of mobile audio is my really old Creative Zen and the iPod Nano I bought my girlfriend.. nothing Androidy.

Buy it from whichever digital music store he fancies on the PC and copy it over to the phone?
Then use Power Amp to play it.

Which digital music stores on the PC? Like I say, totally ignorant to this - I have a large MP3 collection that was ripped from CDs years ago - and I listen to that, or radio!

I've started using Amazon MP3 Player, £20 a year and up to 250,000 songs stored in the cloud and available on up to 10 devices.

I swap phones so often that it's a pain syncing music and Spotify doesn't have a lot of the music I listen to. I pretty much have every bit of music I want so Amazon is ideal.
