Hey all,

I'm currently looking to change my mobile to one that has, hopefully, good sound quality so I don't need to carry an mp3 player around with me as well. Just wondering if anyone here has done the same move & what they think of their phones audio quality over headphones.

Only problem is, I dont want a touchscreen phone, so the XpressMusic is ruled out along with a majority of recent / upcoming handsets.

So far I've ruled it down to the LG Kf750 Secret, Samsung i8510 or N85.
Anybody care to share their opinions ?

Well I have the C905 and I find it quite satisfactory for music, the music player is well designed and easy to use. The only downfall is that the phone does not have a 3.5mm socket but the supplied headphones seem better than most.

I'll probably demo the 905, but the proprietory connector / dongle Sony use needs abolished. Never realised the W995 is due out soon, so might hang on for that if I can.

That's a possibility, although I hate the look of it tbh. Suppose that doesn't matter when its in your pocket. Just hope it does better than the 5320 XpressMusic in the Rightmark audio tests, which was average to say the least, and is worse than the phones I'm considering.

If only they made a non-touchscreen version of the 5800 I'd be happy :)

if your worried about righmark benchmarks then stop looking at phones and buy an mp3 player if that's your bag, no phone out there lives up to a decent mp3 player.
