You dont get many musical genius's. Hendrix, Frank Zappa, Dave Grohl. Some people here are saying eminem but i think he's been too inconsistent whereas the others ive mention have/had been at the top of their game. I'd put Dr.Dre above eminem, not for his lyrical ability but his all-round god-like talent to get the best out of people and redefine the field every time he drops an album. Dave Grohl i mean come on... I don't think he's even capable of putting a foot wrong. His drumming, his guitar work. He is probably one of the most exceptional musicians of any time.
