Essex, innit?
Mrs Norbert collected her brand new MX5 Sport yesterday.

I'm not a huge fan of little sports cars, but it's the first time I've seen it and I have to say I'm mightily impressed.

It's not as small as I thought it would be (well, not as small as the old models) and in my opinion, it's lost the "hairdresser" look. It's quite chunky and solid looking. (looks pretty small next to the L200 though!)

She got all the extras on it, and we had a cruise round with the roof down yesterday. The heated seats make up for the cold air!

It certainly sounds like it wants to go fast. She's taking it very easy at the moment though!

The one problem is the Bose mp3 player doesn recognise mp3s!! She's phoning them today to get it sorted. Numptys!

I'll post some pics at the end of the week - off to Berlin now.

I've had a test drive and they certainly haven't lost the fun factor. But they've put too many un-necessary toys in it. However they've managed not to make it put on too much weight which is good. It also has a bit more power which is what it deserves really having such a great chassis. However I don't think I like the new one as much as my mk2. It's no quicker, and a bit less involving as far as the drive is concerned. However I can't fault them, had I never driven the mk1 or mk2 and gone straight into that I reckon I would probably love it more than the others. :)

Look forward to the pics! :)

Yea have to be honest and say I really dont like the look of the new MX5, looks cross eyed some how, the lights are just too close together.

They've definitely made it look more butch. Still not 100% my cup of tea, but no denying it's a great car! :)

So are you going to be allowed to drive it ;)

Nor mine to be honest. It is indeed a girls' car.

I barely fit in the thing, so doubt I'll be driving it much!

I'll stick to my tank :D
