She was so epic. I was in Swtizerland when it happened last Wednesday. I came home on the Friday, and I was standing on the stairs when my mum came over, broke down crying and came out with it. We just sat there crying.

I'm welling up about it now :(
 
I raised a Ghost Koi from a teeny 1 incher when I was about 12, moved it to my nan's pond about 2-3 years later at 3+ inches. He is still going strong now... That was 15 years ago, and he still has plenty of room to grow!

I think last time I looked a week ago he was around a foot.
 
Sorry to hear that. Sounds like he had a very good, long life. I remember when one of my Dad's Koi died, what a massive beauty that was. He had it for what seemed like forever and a day.
 
My oldest Goldfish is now 7, showing no signs of slowing down. Amazing considering it's in a bowl with the water changed 100% every week. I'll probably get a lecture for it but it seems to have done the old chap no harm...

I will spare you from the barrage. But it is not great conditions for any golffish!! lol
