my 21 year old goldfish died today

Lol, no, she isn't dead in that picture. It was taken just a few weeks before. I took a video of her, too. She was playing around as usual. She was perfectly fine and playful and happy when I left on the Monday evening, yet died within 48 hours. She was about 15. We rescued her as a kitten, and I was about 9/10 at the time.

She'll be deeply missed by everyone in the household. A very distinct personality.

A favourite pose of hers...

I had a goldfish with one eye,
One night we went upstairs, next morning when we came downstairs the cat wanted to go out very quickly and we wondered why he was acting so strange.

But after seeing the fishtank top off the tank we suspected something and after seeing one goldfish with an eye missing, small cuts along his body and scales missing we knew why the cat wanted to leave quickly
He was still alive though.

Needless to say the cat got a flying lesson when he came back :o

my pink gourami are about 10 years old which is a shame because i inherited them and i think they are ugly, i'd much rather have some pearls, come on you ******* hurry up and die!

I was given 5 goldfish including a black moor called Chef when my friends moved to Norfolk. They had them for 2 years before giving them to me, I kept them in a tank for a while before transferring them into our pond outside. This was 11 years ago and 3 of the original five remain, including Chef :D Good innings so far.
