Hi there

Well my morning today started at 5:30am. I was out and left my house for 6:15am and arrived at Powerstation this morning for 8:00am as was a little delayed due to slight traffic around Birmingham area.

Upon arrival I opened the bonnet and allowed the car to cool off.

Come 9:00am work had commenced on my car:-

Unfortunately throught the day my car seemed to be playing the devil, well its was number 666 of the production line. A 4 hour job had turned into a 10 hour job nearly as work was not completed until 7:00pm tonight and at times there was upto three people working on the car. Many harsh words were said and lots of cuts and bruises and lack of limbs later the car was finished.

Unfortunately the 7:00pm finish meant that the oil change could not be done and a power run + tune was out of the question, but this is something for next time and the guys there were able to offer sound advice on a few new bits which they shall be fitting soon enough anyway. :)

Gotta really say a huge thank you to the guys at PowerStation, especially Andy for staying so late and not giving up on the car. I think when we started her up my car was forgiven for all the hard work it had caused as it sounds truly awsome. Those who heard it before think nearly twice the volume and it sounds like a Nascar now, very raspy on higher revs. :D

All I can say is my butt dyno is definetely picking up massive torque increases, in fact torque pickup in 4th now feels like how it used too in 3rd so it feels great and there is certainly a lot more top end power which is definetely registering on the butt and visual dyno as the cars front-end raises more when its floored. Its cost a lot of money to do but I am really happy. Now gotta fit a new few bits and am hopeful for close to 400BHP and 400lb-ft of torque.

Many pictures to follow of some extremely nice cars at PowerStation today owned by either Litchfields or PS.

Excuse the poor image quality but they were taken with my mobile phone.....

The Custom Subaru Type 25 that Litchfields do is a bit of a beast, lots of engine modifications resulting in 350BHP and 350lb-ft of torque. :D

regardless of all those other cars, i bet they smile like a cheshire cat when you drive in :D

Just don't ask me to do another one :D

Glad it performed well on the way home anyway.
Although that rattly rasp is still there afterall. I wonder if it's the flapper valves or the linkage to it rattling as the box itself sounded quiet when I took it off.

See you soon for the next step.

Andy

Yep noticed it m8, but as its always done it I suppose it don't bother me so much. But I guess the next time I visit you can have a good look it. :)

This extra torque makes me wonder if the stock engine mounts can cope though as the car will does plant you firmly back in the seat hard and the front certainly rises up. :D

Once again m8 big thanks for having the patience and been willing to stay late. Also say thanks to all the guys as well please. :)

So what issue did you guys run into that turned the job into the Day Of Mechanical Hellfire And Damnation? :D

Absolutely everything, the car just decided to be a pain.

I went for headers that were seperates as in eight individual pieces as they are supposedly easier to fit as in engine does not need lifting etc.

However in reality this just made things more difficult as things were extremely fiddly and many things did not fit snug etc. etc. I am just glad it was the PS doing it as Andy kept his calm which must have been hard and just kept it been patient and making sure everything was done spot on. :)

Heh. Typical modern US car really. Lull you into a false sense of security about any work that you're going to do on it, then bam! it sticks an axe in your plans for the day.

Worked on too many to be surprised by it now! :)

cant wait to hear it mate at the next RR

glad you found a good place to take of your beast :)

You will like it m8, still got the same low down deep rumble but just a bit louder but when you press the loud pedal the car revs a lot quicker and it turns into like a Nascar scream/rasp sound, absolutely gorgeous. The car must have huge amounts more torque between the 2000rpm-4000rpm range as it is literally picking up so much better. Like I say 4th is now practically as a good as 3rd was and 3rd is now scary. :D :D

Aye, that's the old one.

Ian emailed me the press release today on the new T25 with the all the specs. On paper, it looks truly stunning. All the details should be up on the T25 site in the next few days. Cosworth goodness ahoy.

The race T25 is doing pretty well in the Time Attack events even though it's down ~600bhp on some of the cars...wonder if Norris will take another door or two of his Evo?

If it keeps popping rockers preventing him from running (as it did at Knockhill the other weekend), I wouldn't bother tbh ;) :D.

Excellent, nice to see you getting stuck in with the mods already.

Bet it doesn't half shift now - it was fast enough 1st July.

Short on time so skip-read thread, get it re-dyno'd?

No m8.

When ya get time read my opening post, there was problems and it meant the guys staying late to finish, top blokes they are!

All I can say is I reckon I'll see another 20ish BHP on the dyno but possibly upto another 30lb-40lb of torque as I can really feel it when driving the car.

The guys also confirmed that getting an ALU driveshaft is a very good idea for my car, should give very good improvements for power at the wheels as the stock one is just so heavy. So am getting one of those and some uprated coil packs, but I will fit those myself. :)

P.S. So come on Conanius next RR sort it out! :D ;)
