Cod4

With 9.2 my card was working perfectly..

after installing 9.3 thats what i was treated to in cod4 when i went to play it.
also i have noticed my 4870X2 temps have shot up 6c at idle and 6c at load.
my card goes past 80c now becuse of this...

card is at default core/memory aswell.

what the hell has happened what **** has ati released. WTF happened :( im so ****ed.

well i havent tryed that

but, i was told your not ment to do that becuse i have had trouble in the past where 1 of my gpus wouldnt load and i think it was becuse of drivercleaner ect or driver sweaper ect

i will try a uninstall useing the drivers then reinstall, then try 9.2s again and if those are broken aswell then im 100% POSITIVE that 9.3s have broken my card...

I thought you were in a Hanglider for a minute there.

Have you tried using driver cleaner to remove all traces. then installed new drivers?

I'm not doing this any more (used to believe it was THE way of doing things) as last time it deleted a file that the driver install didn't put back. This prevented me from installing ANY drivers (old or new). :(
Had to System Restore in the end which sorted it out :)

Uninstalling with the ATI Uninstaller thing is good enough for me now :)

I've had a lot of problems with recent driver releases not seeming to set the fan correctly.

Under 9.2 the fan didn't seem to speed up based on the temp of the card, e.g without manual intervention temp was 83c, after set the fan manually to 45% within overdrive the temps went down to 45c.

Problem doenst' seem as bad on 9.3, but I've also done a full Vista 64 rebuild as well so that may have helped the problem.
