my 8800 works in vista!!!..... ish

I have just downloaded THIS driver, it is an xp driver so i had to change the compatability settings to run it as xp sp2

it took ages to shut down and restart but when it did i could sellect my screens full resolution (widescreen 1680 x 1050)

it did blue screen me when i tried to update my windows experience index so aero would run (no succe4ss as of yet) but having my resolution back is a big improvement!

ok a bit of a false alarm, sorry i got over excited... i can only do things in 2d, as soon as i load a game (solitare does it) or a movie in mp11 it blue screens me, so all i can do is surf the net at my full res.... never mind

i've got a little further, using the latest xp drivers, running in xp compatability mode, if i dissable hardware acceleration everything is nice and stable in my full widescreen resolution. it's an improvement untill my comp of vista arrives and the 100.30 drivers materialise
