Gave up with it though. Firstly, had to wait 2:40 for the adverts to finish now I'm waiting for more adverts so **** it.

I'm 99% sure that it can't be epically boobified enough to justify the wait.

I really think it's bad, I'm speaking as a Year 5 (9&10 year old) teacher - some schools (not ours thank goodness as I think it's madness) won't let parents film/take photos of school plays in case they get into the wrong hands, i'm really surprised C4 are prepared to show children dressed so provocatively.

Case in point, for those who haven't seen it: These little girls are 6...

Nothing quite like sterotyping. Next you will be saying it was fine to rape that girl because she dressed "provocatively". You need to look beyond what a girl is wearing ;)

I am enjoying this show though - my girlfriend was watching it a week ago and I have been hooked since. It certainly is an interesting culture!
 
i am probably opening a can of worms here, but here goes

after reading some of the comments in this thread, i can't belive how people think of travellers. (except greebo & Captainrave)

if these comments were about any other group of people, they would be called racist.
its the typical stereotypes of ****** not paying tax or ripping people off (even though some do ;)) but they are not all like that, some are registered as sole traders etc.. and are legit.

as for "grabbing" i know it looks brutal but its tradition for them. its just like horseplay (pardon the pun :p)
even if a girl really likes a boy, she has to play hard to get or else the boy would not respect her,

come on guys, these people are naive, they think they are just showing people their culture and traditions,

I dont care for iran stoning people, chopping off fingers or doing eye for eye punishments. I dont agree with it, but i dont care it happens.

Grabbing is terrible and wrong, i have more issue with this than the iranians. do you know why? i'll tell you: it is happening on our streets, in our society.

they can have all they want from their own culture when they have their own society to do it in :)
 
grabbing is not that bad, its more of a performance, or mating ritual ;)

boy likes girl. girl likes boy.
boy "grabs" girl, girl plays hard to get, loads of shrieking and arms flailing.
both go outside and kiss.
6 months later, they are married, no harm done :p
 
like i said a couple of posts up,
the girl has to appear to play hard to get, or else its frowned upon

the producers are just showing us the most extreme "grabs" and not the softer ones, as this makes better tv

edit. i am not saying that occasionally a boy will grab a girl, who does not like him, then it can get rough, but if the boy got too rough, then he would have a very irate father to deal with.
all i am saying is there are rules to this, but this is not explained
