My Big Fat Indian Wedding

Yeah thought so, recognised it from the balcony :p

Mandarin Oriental is a nice hotel - although didn't stay there last time because of the building work outside, not sure if its finished yet :p The club you mention is probably Zouk , not too far walking distance from your hotel.

I wouldn't like to move to Singapore, living is too expensive compared to KL and surrounding areas :p NYE fireworks in the center looked good, I stayed at home and watched another display from my apartment :D

What made you move out to KL?

Do you remember I think we met around 10 years ago, I bought 300m of Cat5 from you :)

Was it an arranged wedding or did you pick her yourself?

Nop, we mat at uni around 6 years ago.

Malaysia is convenient to travel around Asia from and not too expensive to live, I guess Thailand is cheaper but I think the visa situation there is a bit of a pain and here english is widely spoken as well.

Yeah I remember, and you went to school with a friend's sister who moved to US? Actually I think she moved back since then :p

Wow, that's an impressive wedding! It certainly looks like a day everyone will never forget. Congratulations :)

Even in normal arranged marriages you do pick your bride (or husband) yourself.

Great pics, refreshingly different from the ones we normally see in England, so its nice to see something else for a change. Congratulations and I wish you all the best for the future. :)

I love Indian weddings, such excellent drinking and money throwing traditions :D

Where else can you launch coins at the bride!

Congrats and many happy years together.

... now where can i get one of these ;)

Congrats bud.

I'll be doing the same, well not quite as flash, in a couple of weeks, the faff is redonkulous, but im having a massive gig over in Islamabad and a smaller do back here in the summer.

Ive got a lot of family all over the world and Islamabad (smelly pakistan if your wondering) seemed like the logical place to hold the main event, plus my bro over here has been bed bound pretty much for 5 years so its nice to give him a chance to get out. I wasnt looking forward to all the fuss and stuff initially, weddings are really for mothers and mother in laws, but now as its getting closer, im quite looking forward to it.

I was expecting to save a few quid, but it turns out the third world is just as bleeding expensive for nice stuff!
