Basicly I have had my Honda XR 125 since October and love ridding it (even in snow). So basicly after an oil change, I havn't really bothered.

I had a look after work and found the following wrong :(.

1) Chain rusty and slacking to much and can not be adjusted by pulling rear wheel as its pulled back to the max.

2)Spring missing from back break to set off break light.

3) Horn does not work due too one of the wires snapped.

4) Number plate light not working

5) Break Fluid nearly empty

So I will order a Chain/Sprocket kit off e-bay for around £50 tonight/tomorrow. and try and change the sprockets myself and chain myself. Any tips welcome

I can't locate a new spring for the break light not sure what they are called :( so done a quick fix with some wire at the moment.

Not sure if I will need a new wire for the horn or if I can connect the old one back.

Order new bulb and hope it's that

Buy some dot4 fluid and mess up bleading my front break :).

Any idea how I can prob my bike as I don't have a Bike jack? any tips will be appriciated

YEah I think I was just excited abour ridding and not caring much.

I have never really taken a Motorbike appart so I will have a lot of fun and messing up. I got the basic Owners Manual but it don't explain Sprocket changing, I guess it just simple and self explanity.

Also I heard to get more torque. I should get a front spocket with less teeth?

Cheers dude :) will update once I have time to change the sprocket. :( got no garage so will have to be done after work/ weekend.

Not this weekend as I am going to blackpool (not on the bike of course)

Ok 15 tooth front srocket, normal back sprocket and new EK Chain ordered.

Anyone know where I could find a spring to make my back breaklight work again? I don't know what they are called? Nor can I find it.

I can only find the back break springs

Problem is I don't have a garage :( so the rainy days are left to be rainy days and my bike sits outside upset under the cover. :) well hopefully I will be lucky and the chain will not snap any time before I receive my new chain :) in the next few days hopefully. :)

Hmpf I read and took in what you said, but say in a way that dom without hardly bike knowldge would know about :D.

I want a bit more umpf when I accelarate maybe even enough to lift the front wheel

update:)

Changed both sprockets and the bike on "brikes" at the moment :) will show you lot my ghetto way to keep the bike up. put the wheel back on but now need a tool to remove chain links as the chain is to long :)
