I am quite probably going to be selling my bike and hanging up my leathers for good

To cut a long story short, I had a slipped disc and sciatic nerve injury a few years ago that have never really healed correctly, meaning that the muscles in my lower back and hip are pretty much shot

This means that anything more than about 10-15 minutes on my bike starts to cause pain and cramping of the muscles in my leg and hip area which is just too distracting to ignore and I don't feel comfortable anymore on the bike

I think this year I rode the bike to take it for the MOT and then again to pick it up and take it back home, and if I am being brutally honest, I haven't missed being out on it this year. The last couple of years I have hardly ridden it and it doesn't seem right to have it just standing there

I have given it a couple of years to try and get my injury sorted but I think biking is going to have to be laid to rest along with some other sports I have had to give up as well

:(

I currently have a GSXR, which obviously won't help the issue, but to be honest, even sitting at work for any length of time starts to become painful if I don't get up and stretch so I think it might be time to call it a day

I may see if there is anything I can do at the gym over the winter to try and build up the muscles around my hip, otherwise there will be a nice K5 Anniversary GSXR600 for sale with both the Yoshi and standard exhausts, pillion seat and seat cowl at the beginning of next spring
