you could unistall and see what its linke without the patch, Did this happen the first time after patching? Or was it ok for a while?
I have had this after a Company of heroes patch also
Try turning some settings down if they are on Highest or Ultra. A driver update fixed it in the end

You get that effect with graphics card memory but since its down to the patch it must be something it did to way card runs it, try underclocking your cards memory a touch like 20-30mhz and see if it goes away.

See what happens with yer CPU back to stock, could be it doesn't like your overclock.

Most cards that use foam pads for ram have far too big a gap to fill with TIM, you can lay it on thick but it will bubble out when it runs hot and you end up with a air gap and card bios can corrupt, I used to have that on my 6800Ultra as of bad gap on 1 ram chip, had to reflash bios blindly or using a old PCI card, lucky did not harm the ram, we all know GDDR3 runs cooler and some cards are fast with no ramsinks but having a large airgap is fine but having a heatsink 1-2mm off it thats not touching creates more heat.
