I do let them out now and again, but the area I live in is bad for cats, 2 of my neighbours have had theirs killed by dogs, 1 guy had his shot, but the cat survived after a vet visit. Lovely area around here! My cats are happy enough indoors! And they go out when I do, but on this particular occasion 1 got locked out for a good few hours without my knowledge, and when I found him, he was indeed scrapping with another cat.
They seem better this morning, the howling and growling has stopped. Although things still aren't right. But I think things are getting better.
