Did speak to the person selling the above car and I did think about it for a while but I couldn't insure it and thought the price was a bit high.

Mk1's just carry a higher price tag for the same condition, need more doing to them as well to get to where i wanted. Zetec install isnt as easy.

Like 4T5 I'm a Mk1 fan, but your Mk2 is really nice. I have driven an XR2 with no windscreen and no rear wing once. Wobbly is how I'd describe it.

bro used to have a immaculate black mk1 but he was working away and some scrote nicked it

a friend used to have mk2 with rst lump in it was very nippy

theres some mad cossie versions about but they never seem to get finished

All I know so far is its 138 bhp at the wheels. Going Santa pod in June so will know quarter mile times.

despite the fact my light blue XR2 was without except the least reliable car I ever had (had 2 engines and the 2nd still wouldn't go over 50 without the tappets goign mental, no stereo, half the front was filler, half the bodykit missing etc etc) I still really REALLY want another.

I'd love to have a minter

fair play.. don't like black, love the car though.

I so nearly bought a turbocharged one back in 97.... eventually went with a 205 1.9 but I really think I should have had the XR2

I really like the MK1 and MK2 Fiestas. Went and had a nosey at a completely original XR2 with 56k on the clock just after my Vectra was driven into. Guy still hasn't shifted it. But at 3500 I didn't think it would. But really was a good looking example. Seen a couple of 90k ones, but they were pretty rough.

8 or so years ago you would have got called a boy racer!
Seems like only yesterday the XR3/3/RS Turbo were what all 17 year olds dreamed of.
I havent seen a Mk2 on the road for a long time. Looks very tidy.

I used to love XR2's. Nice car mate, I love the extreme jump from the RX8 to the XR2 lol

If thats 138bhp at the wheels I should imagine that will be prettty nippy
