My first build - ~£900

Kind of unsure on Xfire/SLI. I don't plan on doing it at the moment, but just a possibility in the future. Although probably unlikely, as after I buy this computer I have a wedding and house to save for :D

Been there, done that. Don't bother really, with a single display. Better off selling your GPU and getting a new one when the time comes. I'm seriously considering shifting my GPUs and getting a 670.

This looks fantastic :)

I'm going to go with the previous idea of buying the Z9 plus and buying a 3 120mm red LED fans to go in it, so that the look suits what I'm after. Will be buying the system next week once I get paid :)

Will post pictures once my setup's completed!

Thanks for everyone's help in determining my final basket.

Have fun. Keep a sharp eye on offers.

EDIT : That AsRock board is micro ATX. Worth keeping in mind.

That CM storm case only takes mini-itx or mATX and no blue on the case or mobo at all.....USB3 ports aside lol See.... I bother to check ;)

Well I did try my best to style it for you, I'm glad you liked the look of it. I do love the Z9 (i have one myself) and yes it can take the full ATX mobos. The CM storm has USB3 ports and the Z9 doesn't, which is it's only real failing in my eyes. Funny thing is I like to suggest it to reuse the fans if you upgrade the case not replace the fans lol

Seeings you have a Z9 yourself, are all the 4 standard fans blue LED or is one LED-free? It sounds like the latter on all the descriptions, but I can't seem to make out a plain fan on any pictures I can find of the case turned on? Also the standard fans I'll be taken out will be used in my brothers PC so there won't be any wastage thankfully :)

Also, a very noobie question, but does the USB3 ports on the case not really matter very when the mobo has some on the back? As when transfering data I could just use those instead, or am I missing something silly?

I think I said earlier 3 of the 4 fans are blue LED. The rear exhaust fan is black with white fan blades and is powered by a molex connector.

Yes you can use the rear USB3 ports fine the front USB ports on the case are USB2.0 only. Not a major issue seeing as many budget cases dont have USB3 either. I was just pointing out that the Z9 doesnt have them thats all.

Just ordered everything :) Should arrive some-time tomorrow :D
Went for the Zalman Z9 case and got 3 red LED 120mm's to put in it, but bought those seperatly. Thanks for all the advice!
