My first car! (Warning 56K unfriendly)

Well after 5 years on a motorbike I've finnally taken the plunge and bought a car, A not so shiny '95 Mondeo 2.0 GLX hatchback is now sat on my drive. Bodywork is pretty damn good apart from a single hairline scratch on the right front bumper. Interior isn't warn at all, highish miles (115K) but it only cost £500 with 6 months MOT and 2 months tax.

Insured with elephant just now for £700 TPFT, which I thought wasn't too bad for a 2.0 engine on a provisional license with 0 NCB!

Anyway I'm off to go give it a good clean inside and out.

:D :D :D :D

Not bad! another one in the Mondeo Club, Fox will be pleased grasshopper!

But get some pics up and most of enjoy your 4 new Wheels ;)

Well done, I'd rather have a slightly more worn but nicer bigger car with bigger engine over a better condition but spartan little 1.1 econobox any day :)

I'm 22 but the real clincher is having an older girlfriend who I live with on the policy as a named driver. She has 5 years NCB and no accidents/points. She dropped the quote from £1450 to £700 :P

The drivers side window was cracked so I nipped down the local breakers and replaced that for the massive sum of £17.60. Not a single other thing on there that needs doing. I might give it new oil/filter/air filter as god knows when they were last done. The air filter looks a right state anyway. Belts were done at 80K miles so should be ok.

Photos to come tomorrow when I've charged the batteries on my camera.
