Fell of my bike today, roads where icy but i missed the bus to the college so i had to chance it. What happened was i was coming along and a guy/woman in a car infront moved into the right lane, i was slowly creeping along in case i fell off. Out of no where the car turned left ( it was about 4-5m in front and they did not indicate, must have slid forward because of ice?) so i gently pushed the brakes to slow down in case he spun, when he passed i looked right and there was nothing coming so i continued on then the inevitable happened, rear wheel spun on the painted lines then it kicked back on me so i just put my feet on the ground and let my bike drop. Broke the clutch leaver and i stripped the gear selector shaft. Gear stick just flaps around.

Anyways this is my real problem. Iv told nobody of this incident, not even friends. Just my dad and his friend who picked me up to take me to college. About 1-2 oclock i got a text saying im entitled to 3750 pounds. I mean the bike is only worth £500 max. The text did say "pounds" and not use £. Its asking me to text opt in or opt out.
Am i correct that its someone like my dad playing a joke with me? if so i would love to go along with it to pee him off.
