Got a GoPro HD the other week, this is what I came up with after an hour and a half in iMovie from a ride on my bike last weekend.
Would have liked more angels but only got a chance the move the camera half way through.
I have no idea what makes a good movie so hoping to learn. any tips?

It was filmed in 960p but I don't think YouTube supports it. It didn't make much difference anyway comparing it.

There's nothing wrong with how you've edited it, or the video in general.

The issue I'd say is that it's purely just footage from a GoPro, while there is nothing wrong with that, I own one myself, it's just it doesn't really give you a full picture of what is happening. That's why of course any action sports video will feature numerous camera angles.

For you and your friends though, who actually experienced it, then I'm sure it's great viewing. Similarly anyone wanting to see what Fossil Rock as a ride is like, it will be very useful.

Otherwise though, in the context of YouTube, I'd say it's just another helmet cam video.

I hope that makes sense, I'm not saying you have done anything bad!

If you decide to upload in HD, use Vimeo. I've done a few GoPro films on my surfboard and the uploading process is a lot less painful on Vimeo than Youtube

Agreed... kind of. That is certainly the smoothest helmet cam video I've seen. I really like the fisheye in that context (might be annoying in street views, but surely it can be disabled). But that really does show the stability of the camera, especially considering that couldn't have been the smoothest ride.

I would love to see some youtube vids redone with that cam. :D

The price seems very reasonable, also.

Good plug for the toy! :)
