Hi

I have a 2 GPU's in SLI.

I have started to get glitching in windows, but 3d gaming I'm seeing no issues at all.

Look at this video

To top it off, when I disable SLI the glitching stops, when I have just either card plugged in, the glitching stops.

I have tried 3 different SLI briodges and tried both of the SLI connectors (each card as two)

I really do not understand why I'm getting this issue with SLI enabled.

The other problem is that when i run SLI and a game is running and I plya a video on my second screen the video playback is jerky and not smooth, but when I disable SLI its smooth.

What is the problem?

Might be a problem with 2d clocks or something... I had a problem with YT freezing and glitching out on me and it turned out my audio interface somehow didn't work correctly with one of my USB ports;/ Such isolated issues are always a handful to troubleshoot;/

What cards are you running? And what about the PSU & mobo? Have you tried switching PCI slots?

I'm running 2 x GTX 780s (EVGA SC)

On a Z87X-OC board. My PSU is an Antec 1200w HCP.

Switching the PCI-E slots is not easy as its in a waterloop. I have pulled each card out individually, and just rested the PCI connection on the tops on TOP of the PCI slot on the motherboard, so only one card is plugged in, and its runs perfect having tested both on their own

I believe this is more to do with software, drivers maybe that physical hardware faults. Because on their own the cards perform 100% fine.

try disabling hardware acceleration in your browsers.

although that might not be your issue, can't see your vid since ocuk uses the crap youtube plugin that uses flash instead of the html5 version most forums use...

My bet would also be a software-related issue since the cards perform normally at load but it might be a bit trickier than that. Maybe disabling hardware acceleration as arknor suggested will solve the problem.

Do you get those glitches only when you have your browser fired up or do they also happen randomly when you fiddle with the desktop?

looks like what u get when memory voltage is too low
like when it idles the voltage goes too low
whats causing it i duno

try turning off windows aero?

actually according to google if you turn of aero it disables vsync on the desktop?

Have you got windows aero on? looks it in the vid?
With Aero enabled the OS uses Windows DWM (Desktop Window Manager). DWM uses double-buffering to prevent tearing. Turn Aero off and you are likely to experience tearing, even just when moving windows around.

With modern graphics cards there isn't really much benefit to having Aero disabled.

the 2nd card keeps changing from 8x to 4x and 1x when I reboot

do you have any other cards ina pcie full length slot like a sound card?

I believe on some boards with 3+ full length slots the 2nd and 3rd share the same bus or whatver it's called
