As per the thread title - What does it mean when someone says this? After just reading the thread about how much of a wealth of knowledge ocuk forums are....... can anyone tell me?!

Have you heard it said in any context?

I'd imagine it refers to some kind of suicide. It was the prefered way for housewives to bump themselves off by turning the gas on and letting it overwhelm them. This was before they added something to the gas to make it smell aweful.


Or maybe it means you're in for a roasting?

I just thought it was some weird fangled female saying or something? Apparently its used quite a lot, and I did get a roasting...... but :confused:

Mistaking it for "One in the oven"?
 
If a girl has "One in the oven" she is pregnant. Never heard of running away from anything :\

Well I got my head ripped off yes, for asking why I basically had to confirm she was better looking than someone else.... for the 700th time.......

Seen as we are all blokes here at the minute - PMT..... something real....... or just an excuse for them to go mad for no good reason? My friend thinks the latter!
 
It's a real thing. Most women get SLIGHTLY moody or something different around that time of the month, but a lot simply use it as an excuse.

Hormones - thats their excuse...

They think they suffer with it - they're not on the receiving end of it... :p

PMT is just anohter name for Mad Cow Disease tbh...

It's kind of the expression used to say they're going to leave it all. Not necessarily by suicide, but they've given up. A person who just lost their job, had their kids kill themselves on drugs, get beaten constantly by their spouse who has been cheating on them for 18 years, etc., can throw in the towel. It may be a way of expressing they're starting a new life.

It is not something that should be said if one loses a golf match, however.
 
My ex used to really moan about her hormones and use it as an excuse for EVERYTHING for about 10 days out of the month...

So I just started making her cry constantly for the whole ten days.
