My internet has broke

I can get on these forums but I can't get on the shop site.
I can get on AVForums but I can't get on a load of others.
I can get on Google but not on Google images etc etc

I've tried several different proxy's with no luck.

Anybody else on Stoke On Trent NTL having problems?

I get that sometimes, right clicking on my wireless connection and choosing repair usually solves it. I'm not on NTL though.

Sounds like a DNS issue, something that NTL/VM is not unknown for

DMP it should fix itself in an hour or two..

I used to fix it by using different proxys such as Swansea 1 = swan-cache-1.server.ntli.net

I'm still having big probs and I can't even access my mail straight of the NTL web pages so its obviously at their end.

HOWEVER, if I go through this site first - http://www.privacybest.info/ I can get to most places.
Anybody know if theres anything I can put in my proxy settings to emulate this?

Could be a DNS issus, I set my router up so that the 3rd/4th DNS servers are the OpenDNS ones, that way if both of my ISP ones fail they will take over.

If your router only supports 2 entries, you may just consider replacing the secondary ISP server with one of theirs.

Theres definitely a problem in this area.
I rang 4 mates and all of us are having the same problems.

It looks like its my fault even though others in the same area are having the same fault :confused:

I've just bypassed my router and I've got full internet again so either my router is buggered or theres a problem with people going through routers in my area.

Just about to reset my router and start again.
