Each to their own I guess but was only £100 with 12 months tax and test. :)

I love it! Looks the part, Tape over lights...... Benn out for a track day? :p

Any plans for it? I would leave the exterior + colour alone except getting some suttle wheels and lovering it a bit.

So whats the plan for it then?

Err drive it till it dies I think :p

It's a 1.3 GT so not too bad and is in excellent condition besides being painted with a roller and been lowered with an angle grinder on the springs. :D

It's had GT conversion?

the 12 months tax would be near as dam it the cost of the car, so you really cant grumble at that, cheap disposable motoring at its best :D

Err dunno it says GT Coupe on the back and has a pretty sporty interior so assumed it was a GT. But what I know about Mk2 polos could be written on the back of a postage stamp!

Firstly, quality motor for £100. Especially with a years' tax and ticket.

Secondly, is he on the electrical interweb? If he is, tell him to post it on the www.retro-rides.com forums. :)

Thirdly, fit 15x6" Golf G60 steels, painted powder black.

Fourthly, I'd be proud to drive that.

PS: Eaton M45 conversion for cheap thrills ;)

He approves!!!

penski, no my mate is the human equivilant of that car! Won't be posting on any internet messageboards any time soon thats for sure ;)

He wants some new wheels, my other mate wants to sell him some ats classics that have been painted in satin black for cheap.

Also he has been offered a 1.8 8v mk2 golf gti engine and would like to know if it will fit.

What size are the classics?

The Golf engine will fit but it's a bit of a faff.

The GT engine is a peach - it's a real screamer.

Hmmm, they never made GT mk2's, only mk3's.

G40 it :p

THEN replace the g-lader for an eaton, now THAT is a screamer! (I have vids of proof!)
