My new 24" iMac.... Lovely

Well I've had a Macbook pro for the last 10 months and if i'm honest did not get on with OSX on it as it felt cramped on a 15.4" screen so I ran Vista 32 from bootcamp and all was good. I had a home PC QX6700/8800GTX/24" Dell etc and wanted a change and after seeing the new refresh of the iMac I started to think about a change over from my PC.

I made the jump yesterday and got myself a iMac 3.0 Core 2 Duo with the 8800GS etc and all I can say is WOW. I am now loving OSX and feel that on a 24" monitor it has room to breathe and dose not feel cramped like on my MBP (hope you understand this)

I'm loving OSX now and feel completely different towards it now, so anyone who tries it on MB/MBP don't judge it on that like I did. So to sum it up I love it and loving finding out all the little tricks it has and the fact it looks sexy as hell (hope my GF don't read that as she will think I'm a freak)

Also got it streamed to my PS3 so I can play all my movies on my plasma which was as simple as running one program

Oh yeh the mighty mouse had to go as I had a wireless one for my MBP before and it was utter carp G5 all the way

Lovely things the iMac's can't quite decide whether I want one of those or the power of the fully fledged MacPro.....

Having said that I'm afraid if I got either my MBP would never get used again

I cant say I've seen much of a drop if any from my Quad Core PC set up.

Just curious, did you not try the MBP with the 24" Dell?

That's how I've been running mine for a while now, the only time I open up the lid is when I go portable.

Still, if you're loving the iMac, who cares?

Yeh I did but it did not look as good as this iMac looks. The screen is just so much sharper and Photo's look stunning and thats the main reason I got the iMac.
