My new baby :)

well tbh i dont think i have the BIOS settings setup right as games like FEAR seem jumpy which is annoying, ill run a 3dmark06 test and see if my score is about right for this setup

Liberty 620w m8, awesome power supply imo. Ok i just ran 3dmark06 and got 5696 now that seems low to me, am i right ? is there anything in windows i need to enable or do as i have never owned a duel core CPU before, i dont know what it is but in the 3dmark06 tests nearly every test it just jumps and isnt smoothe at all, was much smoother on my 3700 san diego setup ... any help at all will be greatly appreciated as i want this system to just ooze with performance :p

i dont know much about dual-core but (i know you probaly already have but just saying anyway :D ) is it anything to do with your gpu, have you installed the drivers for it??
:D

Sorry, just wondering what the whole gaming was like on conroe. There is something clashing not exactly "bottlenecking" but something is wrong. Maybe its the memory...

You got an software installed? Antivirus or anything.

Could try disabling them before running. They may be poking their noses where they dont belong.

I used to get stuttering in NFS underground 2. And it was due to that.

Only a guess like, because other than that I cant see what would be wrong.

Well you said it was in those games only, so i take it your other games run fine ( i don't mean the card games which come with windows :p )

So it must be something to do with settings ?

well i set them to 4-4-4-12 in BIOS and the voltage +0.3 so bring it to 2.1v on the memory as it was set as 1.8. CPU-Z is reporting the CAS Latency as 3, everytime i check BIOS it says 4 so i dont know whats going on there, think i read a post on this forum from someone else who had that same problem, i have disabled all those settings which reduce clock speed etc when idle after reading other peoples posts but i just dont know whats causing games like FEAR and benchmarks like 3dmark 06 to just jump along when watching it, FPS is low too ...
