Picked this up this morning, a 2003 YZ125, my first off road bike.
Ive been using my mates KX250 until he had a rather impressive crash last week, he now has a few metal plates in his jaw and a slightly twisted bike.
I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve, cant wait till tomorrow to go riding.

The back shed is well locked up too but once they did get it out they still have to get past 2 more locks through a tunnel that leads down the side of the house. Unfortunatly yesterday my granny managed to snap a key in the lock, so the metal gate was open for the first time. It would be MUCH harder to get it out any another way.

Offroad bikes = ***** magnets :(

aint that the truth, had mine pinched from a shed which couldn't even be seen unless you walked through an empty, private field. Thieving ****** have inbuilt detectors for knobly tyres.

Really sorry for you OP, hope insured etc.

how much would an old something like this set you back?

I live on a farm and fancy something to mess around with besides the quad bikes..

do they run on normal unleaded?

For messing around in the fields you wouldn't need to spend any more than a grand. They run unleaded mixed with 2 stroke oil although there are a lot of 4 stroke motox bikes out there now.

Sounds like someone watched you bring it back/put it away :(
Funny enough, who I suspected was talking to me a couple of weeks ago while putting it away. My brother phoned from school today and someone went up to him asking if my bike had been stolen and give him the same name.

Guy I used to go about with had his KX stolen from round the back of his house, had to take the bike through a concrete close between two houses too, found out it was one of his mates that stole it.

Now has a kx250 which will either be broken soon or stolen im sure

Found it, took a bit of doing though. I was up till 4am this morning and out again at 7am, managed to find dirt bike tracks leading to an address I tracked down last night (police didnt really want to know last night when I phoned). So phoned again this morning and they said 'i'll pass the info onto the police officer dealing with the job when he gets in'. So we went down to the station and pretty much told them to go or they can come arrest me at the address while I try to break in.
The cops phoned about 2 hours later, they had got a warrent to search the property. Just drove past there about 30mins ago and seen my bike along with others being loaded onto a recovery truck.
Although the cops eventually done the job in the end, they pretty much done sod all even after giving them reliable info I had.

I also have the lads mobile who originally stole the bike and the guy he sold it was has been ringing it all morning. The police are coming for that phone, theres a lot of messages with references to drug dealing on.

All 4-6 people involved are well known the cops but always get away with as no one ever gives information to cops or theres very little evidence. The police were also amazed with the amount of information we have found about about lockups they own which they police were unaware of.

Sorry if theres any mistakes, ive been awake for virtually 2 days chasing after leads from info ive been getting as the police seemed to be doing pretty much nothing.
